Daffodil International University (DIU) hosted the 2nd edition of 2019 Youth4SDG Asia Leadership Program in Bangladesh from 19th to 26th  January 2019 organized by YouthinkCenter China and supported by Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC), DIU with active participation of 18 talented students from 18 different universities in China and 5 participants from Bangladesh. Under this program, the young leaders worked to create social business plans after surveying different villages of Bangladesh under case study. The team met Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus at Yunus Centre and learned about his journey toward Social Business for zeroing poverty, unemployment and net carbon emissions. The participants also visited a Grameen Bank Branch and social business projects to get hands on experience of how such activities are being undertaken at the ground level. Apart from the visit they also joined different sessions on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Social Business. In a closing ceremony the teams presented their Social Business Plans aimed at achieving SDGs through the power of social business. The ideas were reviewed by attending experts. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates after successful completion of the program.
